Emergencies
Emergencies are accepted anytime during business hours and also after-hours to established regularly seen patients. If you feel you have an emergency (examples are toxic substance ingestion, hit by car, or your pet has collapsed) please call ahead if possible so that a staff member can advise you on your particular situation and our team can be prepared when you walk in the door. Your pet will immediately be taken to our treatment area to be triaged, and then you’ll be updated on your pet’s condition and the treatment plan
After-Hours Emergencies
If you have an after-hours emergency, you must be an established client whom we see your pets for regular care. Please call us and the voicemail recording will give you instruction on how to reach the answering service who will reach out to the on-call doctor. If you don’t hear from the doctor within 15-20 minutes, please call the answering service again.

Some common emergency symptons
Bring your pet in if they show any of the following symptoms:
- open wounds or possibly broken bones, such as from being hit by a car or other trauma
- stopped breathing or unconsciousness
- repeated vomiting or vomiting blood
- seizure
- sudden collapse or difficulty breathing
- bleeding from their mouth, nose, or eyes
- possible poisoning from eating something toxic
- extreme pain, seen as whining or shaking
- hard and swollen abdomen
